A partnership for Maine's future

Biddeford Communities for Children and Youth exists "to improve the wellbeing of children and youth in Biddeford." We have adopted the Five Promises of America’s Promise (an alliance started by Colin Powell in recognition that when too many children are at risk, we are a nation at risk) to serve as their framework. The Five Promises identify fundamental resources children need to succeed: •Caring Adults •Safe Places •Effective Education •A Healthy Start •Opportunities to Help Others We encourage existing organizations to use the Five Promises as a common framework to reinforce their current infrastructure. We strive to help maximize results, create lasting partnerships, foster collaboration on a shared goal, and increase the resources dedicated to young people in Biddeford.
